Stainless steel type 302 balls are capable of resisting corrosion by such agents as oxidizing solutions, most organic chemicals, food stuffs and sterilizing solutions and are moderately resistant to sulfuric acids. 302 shows a weak attraction to magnetism and is nonmagnetic only when annealed.
