Timken today announced that it has acquired The Diamond Chain Company from Amsted Industries. Diamond Chain is the leading supplier of high performance roller chains in the industrial market. The company serves a wide range of industries, including industrial distribution, materials transportation, food and beverage, agriculture, construction and other processing industries. As of March 31, 2019, The Diamond Chain reported sales of more than $60 million in its last fiscal year.
After the acquisition of The Diamond Chain, Timken power transmission products will contribute about one-third of the company's revenue.
