Timken, the global leader in bearing and power transmission products, recently announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire BEKA group, the world's leading supplier of automatic lubrication systems, for about $165 million.
The company serves a wide range of industrial industries, including wind energy, food and beverage, rail, road vehicles and off-road equipment, and other processing equipment industries. BEKA's full-year 2019 sales are expected to reach $135 million.
The acquisition of BEKA will enhance the global leadership position in the highly attractive market for automatic lubrication systems, expand our geographic and market coverage in Europe and Asia, and create new opportunities to provide more comprehensive services to wind and other industrial end markets.
